That game tonight sf and gb made life miserable for many....this insanity needs to stop. Play playoff games indoors or in better weather. This game was bitter cold and was just crazy on many levels. 2022 I'd expect more sanity fwiw.

#3Winning Regular season means something . This year is different but having home field is about weather as well .
Players , during cold or hot weather are use to it .
The 70k fans , hell they're use to it also. They live it every single day wherever the game is at .
The fans watching . They're sitting at home in temps that are spot on for them to their liking .
So exactly who is this impacting to even push for a change again ?Comment -

What is really smart after downing a pint of Jack Daniels then following with 13 brewski's ?
I remember being at Moto GP race , Twin Ring Motegi in Tochigi Japan. One fan was so drunk , you literally thinking he isn't making it through this race . So you watch him . He drinks for hrs leading up to the start.
They drop the flag, he passes out against the raling , finally wakes up 5 minutes after the face is done .

#6I actually agree here. I dont feel bad for the teams like GB who work hard for a first round bye at home just to lose it to a lower seed who catches fire though. Instead, I feel very bad for the fans who pay thousands to freeze their asses off during flags and TV timeoutsComment -

#7Last night's game was great. It was a defensive battle. Hard hitting. Fun to watch. Bring on the snow. Bring on the bitter cold. Bring on the rain, the wind and whatever else. The elements bring an added dimension to the game.
SF's D was incredible. Especially after GB's first drive. I thought GB would put up 35 points.Comment -

#13Sports is entertainment and a huge part of that is players playing the best game possible. Fans are Sports, without them we have nothing. Fans had to be miserable..game being played in said weather insane. Players limping around....freezing. ..refs etc...that game should of been moved indoors.....Comment -

It is entertainment, not everyone bet Green Bay and obviously lost. While its entertainment, you're literally wanting things moved to your entertainment "desire" , probably while you watched at your desire , your living room .
And yes , Packer fans that live it daily hated it. They literally have sold out 30 years straight for 70° sunny weather .
Then we can also just throw away Regular season for attempting to win the right to play at home .
Every team gets into the playoffs and all on neutral indoor stadium sites .
Nobody loses , nobody wins since it's just entertainment.Comment -

#20Look it's not that big of a deal....I dont root for teams or go to any games. The fans run the sport..that game was brutal for the fans. They should play the playoff games indoors or in warmer weather..THEY ALREADY DO IT IN SUPER BOWL. PLAY ALL YHE GAMES IN MINUS 6 DEGREES I DONT CARE THAT MUCH. stop with this is about tough men....its a business idea I brought up.Comment -

#22Green Bay wins that game if it was played in a dome. Love all the northerners that bitch about southern teams playing in warm weather. Cold weather, wind, etc., usually impacts the better team more and levels the playing field.Comment -

#23Playing field probably not as cold as most people think. They got massive side line heaters blowing heat constantly. That warms things up a bit atleast on the sidelines.

#27I can't believe this shit. This must be coming from some of the biggest weather pussies around. Last night in Green Bay was a Normal weather event. Temp was in the teens, wind chill at around 0. That is average for Green Bay this time of year. I grew up in South Florida and could hardly believe that people could even survive outside when the temperature got below 50. Now that I live in PA, and visit the Canadian Tar Sands north of Regina in February when -40 can happen on any day. I find it hard to withstand a 88 degree day with 94% humidity in Miami for a preseason game. The weather must remain a part of football. We can't totally pussify the sport to the point where the weather is now a thing to avoid. The game has pussified the rules enough with making it almost illegal to hit the QB, or a late hit is now considered to be when a player is headed out of bounds but hasn't officially gotten there yet but still since the hit knocked some of the dudes fillings out that must be a penalty.
Stop the pussification because if we don't the game will get as boring as soccer and we don't want that.Comment -
