I thought Joe Buck was the worst at least its just his voice; this guy is just ....wow. Has no business on this or any stage calling games. Just wont shut up and all nonsense.

You ONLY win by using offense as defense in the league today

              Shanahan coaching like a dinosaur

You convert the 1st, game over

You don't, DAL still needs a TD. If they get it, you'll have MORE time left to answer

The only difference is the 30 yards the punt is worth, which as we learned, was 2 plays and 14 seconds.

              Romo was right.

He's funny. Shouldn't be announcing cowboys games though. It's like watching Lakers vs Celtics and Tommy Heinsohn is calling the game.

And Romo is such a homer too which compounds things.
Simms (the guy Romo replaced) was better and that's not saying much because Simms was a gasbag too.

Agreed he talks too much and is like a kid with too much caffeine. The thing that makes him successfull is he is a former player...qb at that and knows the game very well. He did call the game being over because the referee needs to touch the ball ....the announcer wouldn't of known that and they would be waiting on refs. He called the game being over before they announced it.

Nantz know the game, thing about him is he's beyond boring.
However I get the feeling the CBS bosses told him recently "it's OK to liven things up a little" he seems a little more 'excited' these days.

I'm not a big Nantz fan (too boring) but he's rock solid and he does a terrific job with the hoops tournament.
Nantz is the prototypical CBS company man.
CBS has always been all about letting the game speak for itself not the announcers.

Sean McManus has always loved Jim Nantz, and he's the only man that matters over there.

I still prefer Simms over Romo.
I also said earlier that Simms wasn't all that either.

                                            This made me laugh.
And she's ugly as sin too.

Doris Burke is very, very good though.

She's in the Big East Hall of Fame by the way.
She's holds Big East assists records when she played for Providence.
She knows the games inside out.
Rebecca Lobo and Linda Cohen too, Linda played women's hockey, Lobo was the GOAT at UConn.

Burke's only flaw is she tries to be a little too 'hip'
                                            It sounds forced.
Outside of that she's better than most of the dudes.

Absolutely, that doesn't even take into account how much easier it is to get a single yard in today's game.

Thank You for saying this.I actually Dont mind Buck and Aikman. But Romo is very overrated tries to be so smart and just looks to get every upcoming play right and Jim Nance is turning into a old women i cant stomach him on golf either. I Love the Manning cast i thought that was going to be a terrible gimmick but i cant get enough of them some of there guests i can do with out but would love to see a manning cast Superbowl. If you want to here someone who is annoying. Try listening to Jimmy Fox on La Kings games he is the worst. I mute the games with announcers i cant stand during the Cowboys game i just said Alexa play Classic Vinyl on Sirius XM and played music the entire game.

Anyone who criticizes live play by play or commentary needs to try it themselves. It's not easy. You won't satisfy everyone. impossible. Try muting your t.v and you call a game. You'll realize how tough it is.

Buck and Romo do an outstanding job. Are they perfect? No, but they do a great job and bring the viewer closer to the game which is what their job is.

I'm really surprised CBS hasn't stepped in and said could you just tone it down a bit??? His first year... he was nervous (probably his best year).... and didn't say all this extra crap.... and he'd actually surprise you with some football wisdom here and there. But... now his commentating skills really aren't any better than you sitting at a bar.... and listening to the obnoxious guy next to you saying... "YOU SHOULDN'T HAVE DONE THAT! Why did they do that??" lol Romo is that you?

Yeah, he is way over the top this year. He's talking over the play by play guy constantly. We don't need him telling us what the QB needs to do in a 2-minute drill. "spike it here" "try and draw them offside" "run a play before the 2-minute warning."
