JJ, I thought you rented a room in your Aunt's house?.?. If not, then read on.

Not sure if you realize this but all back rent and late fees will become due once this eviction moratorium is over. So, you're either going to have to cough up the huge amount of cash you owe in back rent/fees, or you're going to have to find a new place to live, which might be tough to do considering your credit rating will be below 400 after skipping rent for a year.

The only other option is to apply for the gov't funded rent bailout money. Apparently, most of the states have not given out the money for renters impacted by covid that was authorized as part of the last covid bill. So, there is still money out there but I think you'll have to prove that your income dried up due to covid (betting losses do not apply). Since you never had a job, this might be a tough for you to get any of that money.

I'm a landlord and hate lazy tenant bums that don't want to pay rent just because they can get away with it. You signed a rental contract so live up to it or move out!!

There are jobs out there now and these lazy focks just want a free ride. Most mom and pop rental properties are just getting by now. This could send them into foreclosure. They have mortgages to pay!!

Can't wait til those eviction laws eventually kick back in and there is pay back!!
