Seriously: Who would you give the ball to if it was 4th and 2 to win the Superbowl?

There were a lot of great Hall of Fame RB's like
    Barry Sanders
    OJ Simpson
    Emmit Smith
    Gale Sayers
    Tony Dorsett
    Jim Brown

But if my life depended on it I would want either Cambell, Payton or Eric Dikerson to get the rock.

I think Campbell would be my first option if I had it.

Walter had a bad Superbowl in I guess 84. But make no mistake he carried that offense. They had no passing game with that NcMahon freak for a QB.

Sweetness won the NFC rushing title five straight years....not five years, I'm talking 5 STRAIGHT years and he did it in an era of great backs.

I'd give the ball to Tej. I'd tell him the ball represented thousands of dollars of customer deposits and that the endzone represented a new start-up operation.

No defense in the world would be able to stop him scoring a touchdown.

So my 3 finalists to pick up 2 yards and win the Superbowl are:

                      Walter "Sweetness" Payton
                      Earl "The Pearl" Cambell
                      Eric Dickerson

Wow! I'g give my left nut to be able to go watch one of these guys terrorize a defense. (hmm...2nd thought, make that my left sideburn...yea, thats better - left sideburn it is)

eric dickerson no (the plug the holes and, then they would string him out i'm telling ya)
walter payton no (ditka didn't even have enough trust in him in superbowl 20)

To put a bit of a spin on the topic, I'd fake to a running back and roll out Tom Brady to get it done - run or pass.

Wow, a lot of excellent choices made. Personally, I'd either take Payton or Jim Brown (has anyone mentioned him yet?). I'm not sure I saw Emmit Smith mentioned either.
Payton could run in gaps, break outside or jump over the top. I consider him the best ever, followed closely by Brown.

Why, you did spell Csonka correctly. If you can spell the name of the Dolphins kicker from that era you earn a 2x bonus!

Csonka, Kiick, Mercury Morris, Griese, Larry Little, Manny Fernandez and Paul Warfield are the name that come immediately to mind. Warfield was fantastic, even late in his career with Cleveland.

Is Jerry Rice a valid choice? Remember those quick slants he ran? Guaranteed 5 yards (often more) and the man didn't drop passes and was virtually undefendable on those routes.

Exactly. Thats why I went with Cambell as my 1st choice. He will just run ya over if you plugged the hole.
