PEDs is my guess. Just a hunch. He reminds me of tipsarevic who eventually got caught. People don’t just rise to top of tennis out of nowhere when they’re 27.

King Aslan WAS as shady as they come. The guy was such a notorious fixer on the Challenger circuit up until a couple of years ago they stopped booking his matches. Recently saw somebody's IG who had a montage of him fixing a few years ago with the most blatant double faults, some barely hitting the net, others 5 feet long. ( I'll try to post the link). Honestly I don't blame him, if that's what he had to do to survive playing for peanuts, more power to him but the guy was always hugely talented. The fixing and injuries aside I'm glad he finally got his shit together cuz he's a legit top 10 talent. Not the best sample size but all I could find so far.

Well a lot of times thats where it starts. They get a lot of meds for injuries and end up finding "a guy" a long the way. I totally could be wrong, just a gut instinct.

Good point just lucky he didn't end up like Nicolas Kicker who was on his way to becoming a Mini Diego before the suspension.
