You guys ready that he has to give up 10% of this to that sports investment find that George Bush's owns?

I guess they gave him a big advance as a 18 year in exchange for future earnings...1st time one has hit big!

10 percent of a gazillion dollars is no big thing.
That contract is more than enough for him, his kids, his kids kids, and their kids.

Fans can't even attend games. There's record unemployment and instability in general.

I think these sports leagues are going to lose alot of money and downsize they apparently don't realize it yet.

                    easily

things could change, as 14 years allows many changes in local, state, and federal tax rates. The padres could move, or tatis could get traded.

government officials are waking up and realizing the big gaping butthole of a target professional athletes are for taxable revenue.

and when it comes down to it. It is just the ticket buyer, cable package subscriber, mlb fan's money going back into the state coffers, to pave the roads to the stadiums and build better internet fiber optics and 5g coverage

hell they should give us tax write offs for going to games and signing up for mlb.tv

I think are confident they have weathered the worst. Fans will be back in graduated amounts.

bulk of revenue does not come from ticket sales anyways.

I do think there is something to the Pads ownership group, hoping to play a little game of pass the bag.

there will be a lot of movement in that group, and possibly the team as a whole.

                      lots of shady business coming

The Padres always like to have one player in a really large contract. This is the guy for the next 10 years

except they already have Machado making 30+ million a year, and 3 other guys getting 20 million this year, before Tatis's contract.

damn, i did not know he got hurt last night.

wonder if the pressure of the contract was effecting his play before the injury.
