If You're The Jets Or Any NFL Team Is Trevor Lawrence Worth Drooling Over? 🤔
Is this guy really going to be that great of an NFL quarterback?

It's always hard to say. It seems like more often than not the ones pegged as great fizzle (or, at least aren't as great as the hype) and the Tom Brady's come out of nowhere. That's even happening a bit this year with Herbert. Coming out of Oregon he was good but I think most people are surprised at how good he is doing.
Andrew Luck is another one that comes to mind. I remember the hype when he was coming out of Stanford was ridiculous. Sure, he had a nice career (albeit a short one) but he didn't come close to living up to all the hype.
While college and pro are the same game there are just so many difference. Both on and off the field. I think there is a decent chance that Lawerence will be the real deal but it's probably a coin toss at best. I just hope he uses some of his signing bonus on a good haircut.

Well theres the fact he'll have been a 3 year starter in a pro style offense on be on a rookie contract so if you're thinking you're going to put good money in other spots, NYJ will have a 5 year window here.
Might get a 2nd rounder for Darnold as well

It’s the Jets... might as well keep Darnold and get better everywhere else. You aren’t winning anything anyway.

I saw that. Can’t blame him. Why wreck your life? Could also force a trade too.

Jets have way more issues than a QB. Trade the pick.

My guess, he falls into the category of "project". How many of these kid's never pan out???? Tanking for anyone is ridiculous. What if he is Ryan Leaf, or the guy second to Drew Bledsoe (forget his name) never made it. The list is endless.

I would take a chance that Lawrence is a bust over Justin Fields being great.

Didn't he say he wanted to come out last year? But he had to stay another year due to draft rules.
No way he's staying another year in college. Guy just got engaged, the girlfriend is already spending millions probably.
I don't like Lawrence, unless his accuracy improves. Everything he throws sails long.

Has any of Urban Meyer's recruits ever been a decent NFL quarterback, other than Alex Smith?
Saban, too. Has he put anyone in the NFL. AJ McCarron still a backup is all I can think of. And Jalen Hurts.

Belichick doesn't do that stuff. His drafting sucks, that's why they have Harry and Sony, LOL. Talk about busts???? Then he gives away good players that rub him the wrong way, for just a box of Cracker Jacks.
Think Richard Seymour, and the list goes on, and on, and on......

Bears did it too for Mack now they're fukked.
Jimmy Johnson taught us all how valuable the draft is if you want to turn around a franchise.
Belechik can get Darnold and have a big white smart QB for 10 years now and he'll dominate that division with speed on D. Buffalo is a paper tiger and I'm not sold on Allen, probably gets hurt scrambling here...too reckless
