I walked past Yogi at Turning Stone Casino, about 20 years ago. Was surprised how short he was.

Attended his last three games at Fenway Park in '68, he actually sat out the middle game. I got my only foul ball ever, during the series (still have it) off the bat of Reggie Smith prior to homering. Always a fan of "The Mick", despite growing up in Red Sox territory. Injuries hampered his career but still a HOF'er. His one regret he said in an interview, was not attaining a .300 lifetime BA. I believe he ended up at .297, still not too shabby, especially for the cuts he was famous for.

I can only imagine. But how about the folks who watched them at home?

I shook Mickey's hand and got an autograph when I was about 10 years old.

You missed the joke. He was referencing a famous Yogi-ism, and we have been responding to each other with other ones.

Nobody goes there any more, it's too crowded
