Took a trip to both today.
Foxwoods - plexiglass installed on every table, even craps table. Craps table allows 3 people to each side. Feels kinda like you’re in prison with the players next to you on the other side of the glass. It’s kind of nice though having your own little space. The down side is that you basically have to yell your bets out being that you have a mask on and glass in front of you. Gets kind of tiring after a while.
Your temperature is taken when you walk in and masks are available.
Restaurants were mostly shut. Subway, pizza place, diner, steak house, and Sugar restaurant were all open for take out only. The ball room is open with tables to sit at to eat. There were like 30 big round tables in there but only 2 people. Kinda strange.
Started with $500 at craps and cashed out $900. Foxwoods only had 2 craps tables open so I had to wait a bit for an opening. There was like 6 people in front of me at cashier cage and took about 30 fukkin minutes as it seemed they were all doing cash advances. The cashier has to wipe the counter after every customer.
Also, after a player leaves the table, the pit boss wipes down their spot. There was wipes and hand sanitizer everywhere.
Slots was every other machine.
Overall, I felt pretty safe there. Less risk than going to the grocery store. Only negative is the tables were too close together.
Mohegan Sun - First thing I noticed when I walked in was there was no plexiglass at any tables. Your temperature is taken and there are masks available when you enter.
Tables seemed way more spread out at this casino so even though no plexiglass, I felt pretty safe playing craps with only 3 players per side with the long tables. There were 7 craps tables open.
Slots were the basic every other machine. Seemed like less people were at Mohegan.
Wipes and hand sanitizer everywhere.
Bars on the casino floor were open.
Started with $500 at craps, went bust. Reloaded another $500, went bust. Played video poker with $100, turned into $300.
Can’t give a restaurant review as I didn’t even bother looking.
Overall, I felt pretty safe at both places. However, the atmosphere is a lot different. I probably won’t return until the party atmosphere is back and masks are no longer needed.
