Bankruptcy doesn't necessarily mean they will close.

                Debt holders become new owners.

SouPlantation in California (called Sweet Tomatoes in the rest of the country) is permanently closing all locations. The CEO didn't see a way to thrive with new regulations ... or with a limited percentage of capacity. Planning to declare bankruptcy.

Also at least a few Golden Corral locations are permanently closing due to the virus, but no company-wide decision.

I'll miss Sweet Tomatoes ... had lived close to one for about 15 years ... good selection of salad and soup and like a lot of buffets, had a good CPD (Calories Per Dollar)

Golden Corral should have closed a long time ago.
