As mentioned, you submitted Michigan State twice. We are letting you keep the LOWER denomination (2*), so you lose a 3* play.

I would agree with this, and obviously since I have two teams in theory competing with him, your ruling could only help me. But in terms of fairness, I too think he should lose the lower unit play, not the higher.

Entering the same team twice is a MAJOR mistake that people just can't make so we do not want to give the benefit of keeping the higher * as that would not be enough of a punishment. The choices were keep the lower * or DQ, but we felt the latter was too severe.

Fair enough. I mean to be honest again, I still don't really agree - yes this is a major mistake, but it obviously is not something that someone could ever gain an advantage by doing, only hurt themselves (it's not like someone trying to enter their picks after the deadline or something like that). So I don't see the need to over-punish someone (by making them lose the higher * pick) for a mistake which was obviously unintentional and something which could only ever hurt them.

That's just my opinion though, obviously you all run the contest, and you certainly have every right to make a different ruling if your opinion(s) happen to differ from mine on that issue.

Thanks in any case for all you do, particularly in this contest which is always awesome (would be even more awesome if I could ever win anything though ). But whether I end up winning something or not, it sure makes bowl season a lot more fun to sweat!
