The easiest way to get Sports betting in Cali would be to amend the Indian laws... just allow them to have sports wagering in their casinos

Then down the road (way down) expand it to the whole state

Agreed. Same issue here in Florida. Doesn't have to be one or the other, make it legal for whatever entity qualifies. Indian casinos don't like it they can go fuk themselves.

The law in CA is that other than card clubs and horse tracks, the injuns own the gambling/bingo market. The law would need to change and then the bleeding hearts would say oh look we are taking more from the indians in effect making us the indian givers. Pretty rich.

Thanks Arnold for even giving the Tribes the opportunity for that kind of pull.

But what the public will see is just a fight over control of gambling and booking. Look at the Poker sites to see where CA stand here. The Tribes have the authority here, the law is on there side, so far.

It is a cluster fuk and I doubt we see resolution within a year, but maybe Gold is right if things move quickly.

At some point, the clubs/tracks/indians are going to have to realize that there is enough money to go around. I suspect that when the new Rams stadium opens in 2020 that sports betting is not far behind.
