I'd lean over, the Raiders defense is shit and they play in a defense with good offenses, there isn't a reliable second receiver either.

I would also look at potential CB matchups before making a long term bet like this.

They will be a lot more short check down throws than he ever caught in Pitt.

Absolutely. The Raiders will make him the focal point of the offense. Get it in his hands at all costs. 1 catch for 3-4 yards, over and over. To setup taking a shot here and there. I don’t see how this stays under barring injury. 10 games with 10 catches isn’t out of the question.

My reasoning for checkdowns is Carr is too scared to stay in pocket under pressure to throw downfield.

The Raiders have no O-line to protect Carr. They will Double and Triple team Brown. If I had to wager, I would go under, but either way, it is a lousy wager. PASS.

If AB gets on Gruden's bad side in any way, he will stop getting balls thrown his way

He is trash. Wears eyeliner and cries after getting hit. He won’t be with team when they relocate to Vegas.

You guys seem to know very little about the Raiders mentality. First of all, they play 5 away games in a 6 week period without any game at home. They can easily start off at 2-5 or 1-6. So by November, they have been, for all intense and purposes. eliminated from AFC West contention. Now the Raiders will spend the rest of the season seeing whom they want to take to Vegas and whom they do not. Gruden is the final decision maker, so what he says, goes.
This means that Brown will more than likely have a rather quiet 2nd half of the season, because unless he does something really stupid (and we all know that ANY NFL player certainly has that capability) he will be going to Vegas with the team next season. The Raiders will not risk any type of injury to him. So I really cannot see him being thrown to that much, especially slants over the middle where he can really get racked up.

I just checked the schedule and you're right. Four road games, a London game and a bye in six weeks; I can't believe the Raiders haven't complained about that because it has to be by design.

No WR has had 90 or more receptions with Carr so far in his career; and the same can be said for any WR in any of Gruden's coaching schemes (only looked through his TB years). Of course the game has changed since Gruden coached in TB, but Derek Carr is mediocre at best and Brown is getting older. In order for him to get to 98 I'd expect him and Carr would have to have a magical season, and they're only pegged for 6 wins in a difficult division.
Here's the pass defense ranks vs opponents this year
DEN 20
KC 31
MIN 3
IND 16
CHI 7
GB 12
HOU 28
DET 8
LAC 9
CIN 32
NYJ 24
KC 31
TEN 6
JAX 2
LAC 9
DEN 20
Top 10 defense seven times, bottom 10 defense five times
I'll play the under.

Wouldn't shock me to see Gruden give Peterman a start at some point.
