Very tough day. NYM & CHC both opened at -110, should have jumped on those, now line looks more accurate.

Do not see any plays today that jump at me. Initially leaned Diamondbacks but when I dug more into the stats, I only modeled diamondbacks 51% which is the current line sadly.

I look at key pitching stats, assign weights of value to each one. Compare pitcher to pitcher. Then do the same for batting, both using Fangraphs. Recent performance weighted stronger than recent past seasons. Uses 4 years of stats if available. Use excel to create a dynamic template. It is not backtested and cannot predict a score but it creates a basic simulation. It is not a good model for those reasons but it is starting to get my head wrapped around the process sharps go through to find +EV. Sharps likely use a model that is 10x more advanced than what I created.
