guy is a p.o.s and a douchebag but pete needs to be number 1. There is a reason none of his family went to his last wedding.

                3 eddie murray.

Best switch hitters is Mantle and then everybody else
2-10 in order: Rose, Raines, Robin Roberts, Chipper, Murray, Cool Papa Bell, Ozzie Smith, Alomar, Reggie Smith, Beltran

Hard to argue with Chipper being #2; everyone in that group is very close. Murray could hit, had about 10 seasons he was a viable MVP candidate. Rose's defense and versatility put him at the top of that group. Was not a great infielder, but the very fact that he could play second and third were huge for the Reds. Allowed them to put add both Foster and Griffey to the lineup. Great defense in the outfield. The 4,000 hits means almost nothing, since the last 900 or so came when he was barely an average first baseman. But up until his decline, he was playing in nearly every game. Raines is pretty much an identical players as Rose. Lost about one full season over labor reasons (mostly during his prime) in 1981, 87, and 94-95. Have to give him credit for that. Over 800 stolen bases and only 146 times caught stealing, could be the best baserunner in history. Surprised he hasn't gotten a mention yet

Robin Roberts was the best pitcher of the 1950s. He averaged twice as many innings pitched as Chris Sale had last year. At a time when teams carried nine pitchers and the relievers weren't very good. Those Phillies teams were really bad in nearly every way. If he were on a better team, he would get mentions as one of the best five to 10 pitchers in history.

Reggie Smith had a better career than Jim Rice when accounting for ballparks, eras, and defense. Gets three out of 400 votes for the Hall-of-Fame, yet Rice somehow gets 75%?????

I think you have to go with either Jones or Rose at the # 2 spot

Alomar should be 4,5 or 6 imo
Berkman should round out the top 10
