David Ortiz has been shot, per multiple reports that indicate the former Boston Red Sox slugger was shot at an amusement center in the Dominican Republic. His father told reporters Ortiz was shot in the leg while in Santo Domingo, and has been taken for medical treatment.
The 43 year old native of Santo Domingo retired after the 2016 season, after a 20 year career with the Twins and the Red Sox.
