I went to New Jersey's Rutherford Stadium with an Irish soccer buddy in 94. We had seats 6 rows up from the 18 yd box. When Houghton scored that goal against Italy we went crazy. We took a limo to Atlantic City to continue the party throughout the night. The next morning we woke up to find out that IRA supporters had shot up a pub back home in Ireland, murdering so many innocent bystanders during the most euphoric moment in Irish history. Sad indeed

Hindsight is 20/20 but I like to have some reflection when I get buried like I did last night. I should have known that Sanchez the Qatar coach would have some familiarity with Quieroz from when Quieroz was Iran's coach.

Qatar was well organized and wanted to simply not let Colombia score and take advantage of the counter attack of a team that was trying to score at all costs to secure 6 points.
