Obama had pretty strong policy record on wages. Pretty weak performance however but thats on policymakers. Obama also inherited the worst economic crisis since the GD. Sad he faced so much political opposition or all performance metrics related to wages would’ve been much stronger, but thats on Republican policymakers

I'm fine at giving Obama a pass. Actually Obama knew we needed a biz tax cut and even offered the republicans one as a way to increase wages.

Hillary never pretended to be for working class wage growth. She had no plan.

It's simply not on the dems radar and that's a real shame. The lower middle class splits 50-50 between Dem and Rep so there is no reason not to help them. The auto bailout started with Bush - the auto companies were bailed out as part of TARP. Obama gets zero credit for that. Obama made it worse too by not allowing them to got through a chapter 11 reorganization to get rid of some of the pension obligations, they filed for bankruptcy eventually anyways.

The VA was a shit hole when Obama left office, that's a big part of the reason why Vets broke overwhelmingly for Trump. Obama left Iraq too soon and without enough troops creating ISIS, he crippled middle class families with obamacare and inflation, he got walked all over by Russia in Syria and Ukraine in foreign policy. The Stimulus package was a not a success either, which is why most of his economic team resigned and Republicans took control of the house, Senate,and most state houses. He's one of the worst president's we've ever had.

In the US we have this thing called the electoral college, it determines who wins and loses. Trump never campaigned or spent 1 dollar in New York or California, because he knew he would lost those states, if the popular vote mattered he would have spent hundreds of millions of dollars there and he would have destroyed Hillary in the popular vote. Obama was not popular in 2016, his approval rating was consistently in the 30s because the economy was trash for the middle class - another reason why he was such a failure.
