I'm on the Spurs -1.5 +230. I've said all along that Spurs have the best 2 players in this series. Jokic is a great player, but he's made to look better than he is because Spurs don't really have anyone who can guard him. Poertl was a player that didn't even barely play last year on the Raptors, and now he's starting against one of the best centers in the NBA. That's swiss cheese obviously for Jokic. I expect Pop to come up with a better gameplan tonight and everyone to play better defensively.
Spurs won last game with average performances from guys with rings. Mills. Bellinelli. Veteran players. Aldridge and Derozan want this. It's their time. Both vets. Craig can't check Demar and Milsap is way too small for L.A. Rudy Gay is the best bench player in this series easily.
Denver has a better team let's get that straight, but they have not shown it or played like it. Derrick White has taken Jamal Murray out of his game. Even though he's had some nice games, he's melted down in this series. Melted down hard in game 1 which should have been a Denver win. White is a good defender and he's going to be a good player in this league for a long time. I can see the excuses coming for Murray after the game ("oh, he bruised his thigh in game 6"). F that.
I saw the look in Lamarcus Aldridge and Derozan's eye in game 6, and that was enough for me.
Let's go Spurs.
