They make a living off those "small fees" you pay. They don't make a living betting sports, they took an online marketing class and take advantage of idiots who believe them.

Anyone playing the game professionally is no doubt commanding top level rebates which will take their personal hold down below 10% across pools. Even the 7% offered by BOL gets a lot of pools down to or below 11.5%. Nothing wrong with tournaments though.

I thought I could make a career as a gigalo, apparently you have to be good looking, you would think some ugly broad having to pay wouldn’t be so picky!

Even Billy Walters had MULTIPLE STREAMS of income.

              Gambling alone - impossible.

Cecil127 made a career out of breeding horses with his mouth, except for the being paid to do it part.

lol the old car comment...its so true. Look at the cars in the parking lot next time you visit a casino, especially racetrack. Then you'll understand why professional gambling is a joke.

Used to frequent the track back in the day. The biggest maniac there, used to slap the program, scream and curse. Found out years later he was a prominent brain surgeon

You should be flattered that your face isn't on posters in every horse track in America as "PETA's Most Wanted."

The word you're looking for is "throne" and no, I'll never relinquish the throne.

Horse handicapping is a big part of the makeup needed to be successful in other sports.

Every true handicapper should have knowledge of the ponies and be able to read the form, to atleast put together a decent a card on big race days.

It’s normally where it all begins for most of us.

Losing a few Hundred at the track , can many times be more enjoyable than making a few units on other sports.

                            But that’s not my point

While I won't debate the veracity of your statement, I think handicapping protocol needs to spelled out to certain members of the horse capping community who didn't get the memo i.e. Cecil127 whose knowledge of the thoroughbreds was largely limited to their genitalia, of which he thoroughly researched with his tonsils.

So true, used to love going to the track, now I just login to 4njbets.com and watch TVG. The 4 day all star break I bet horses from tracks all over the country all day long since there isn't really anything else to bet on, I don't fukk around with HR derby and all star game.

Eddy munny & t3, right on per usual

                                      Has to be in blood

But makes us cappers on different levels going elsewhere

M C picks, nothing wrong with that

                                      Cheers

Years ago there was a maintenance worker at hawthorne who was said to of made near a million dollars on show bets and then to lose it all back on win and gimmicks...outside of the exchanges where consistent profit can be made on lay bets my more recent strategy has been to play bigger tickets pick 4 and 5s and supers with thought being I will lose long run betting into pari mutual pools anyway may as well go for bigger hits...

Trytrytry is right too...do not start horses....I’ve been hooked on them and love the sport and wish I was never introduced to them at young age...it’s losing proposition
