He was really starting to look like a bad ass whenever it was he got hurt, sometime in ‘17 I think. Seeing him now it surprising cardinals didn’t ink him to a big deal, we love paying garbage relievers!!

Wow first year following baseball for most of you.... relievers having infinity eras early in season is common not to mention you guys obviously don’t understand the very easy formula to calculate ERA and why it ends up at infinity.

Is his innings pitched 0 or - ?
Has any pitcher ever finished a season at infinity? That would be cool. Is there room on the baseball card?

According to all sources I can find his ERA is undefined, not infinity. Formula is ER/IP x 9 for all values, including zero. 7 ÷ 0 is not infinity: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Division_by_zero
It looks like mlb.com does not list his ERA as infinity. Completely nonsensical for ESPN to do it that way. It's possible the INF means something other than infinity.

It's funny that all those articles and stat sites come up with a different answer than all of the brightest minds in history, yet say nothing about how or why they arrived there. It seems the best stat site lists his ERA as inf, but there is an awful lot in the comment section showing why that is wrong: https://www.baseball-reference.com/b...ives/7450.html

Maybe his best outing of the year today. He couldn’t get an out but also didn’t give up a run.

The Washington Nationals on Monday afternoon sent embattled reliever Trevor Rosenthal to the team’s facility in West Palm Beach, Fla., for a rehab assignment while he remains on the 10-day injured list. “We just wanted to get him healthy," Manager Dave Martinez said. “There’s no timetable. We just have to get him built up again.”

Hopefully he does get a chance to come back and improve on that ERA currently sitting at 36.00.
He has come a long way from Infinity to the mid 60's, now down to 36.00.
Progress, not perfection.

Wtf....He must have been back, or his ERA in the minors counted, cuz it is down to 22.74 ERA.
He must have pitched 50 scoreless innings to get down there.
