I'm up quite a bit from the sports betting and I didn't bet any this past weekend at all and I had no urge to bet either. It was probably because I was at Harrah's casino in Atlantic City this past weekend and I was busy playing Pai Gow poker.Comment -
I was going to, but I was so busy gambling in the casino I didn't want to mess with the sports betting even though Harrah's has a sportsbook. I won $500 in the casino, so I'm good with that.
However, I did bet Kansas City for several hundreds for my younger brother when he called, so I owe him money but I'm sure he's going to call again next weekend to bet it on something else. He goofed up as he wanted to bet on other sides as well but he was hesitant and didn't go through with them and they all won; New England -4 and the Over on Dallas/Rams.
My dad likes the Saints -3.5, so it looks like I'm betting $500 on the Saints next Sunday.
Then, $500 or more on the Super Bowl, which I think will be the Saints to win it all.Comment -

If he took the ML on the first half, then he had it EASY. That's what I would've done. It's terrible if he did take the Eagles on ML and I feel for him since the Eagles gave a great hope that they could win SU after how they started.
When I lose, I'm busy looking for another bet to make to get back the losses, i.e. go on a MAJOR CHASE mode and get crushed even more. But, that's the past and no more of that chasing crap this year. I still chase in the casinos, but who doesn't when they are losing?

I saw several good options those that won including your Maryland -3.5, Syracuse +10 1st half, Nebraska ML, and Houston Rockets. There were also several other options those that lost badly, so it was up to me to make the choice and if made the wrong choice then I would have been out $1,410.
Someone's comment actually persuaded me to sway away from a losing pick which I was leaning towards right towards the end so I'm very grateful to him for chiming in and posting his point of view.

If I could have split my bankroll ($500) on DraftKings to make different bets for varying amounts, then I would have and bet something on Maryland since you were nice enough to help out with your pick. The free $500 bet deal was to match the first bet amount only, so I had to bet the whole balance of $500 on ONE game.
Maryland was -3.5-117 on DraftKings, so it was higher juiced which I didn't like even though I felt it meant it had a better chance of covering.
Honestly, I was thinking of betting Maryland at a cage at Resorts, but I was busy with the kids being sick in the hotel room and going out to eat with the wife.
Since you were very nice to help out CBB and you are a fan of the Saints, I would like to ask you for another favor then.
My dad, who is 85 years old now, used to watch a lot of football over the years and he knows nothing about sports betting and its point spreads. He just likes to pick who's going to win the game and he is amazingly good at it. Unfortunately, he hasn't watched much NFL anymore as he's occupied with playing baccarat in casinos. Still, he feels that the Saints will win and win by more than 3.5 points.
So, just based on what he told me, I'm leaning to bet $500 on the Saints.
Do you think that's good idea or do you see the Rams covering or even possibly winning SU?
