Australian Open Contest 2019 - Women's Singles

Entry fee is 10 POINTS paid to me. The draw is on Thursday January 10th at 6pm local time and the first round starts on Monday January 14th at 11:00am local time. You'll have until that time to enter your bracket for the entire tournament. Keep in mind that you'll be choosing the winner of each match from the first round until the final before the first match goes off so leave yourself some time for deciding your picks.
Entries will only be accepted via the Tennis Channel so that all of us can keep track of where we're at without having to worry about time differences.

I have created a private contest for us but you'll need to separately register for the main contest if you want to be eligible for that one also. If you have to use a name different to your username here for whatever reason, please send me a PM so I know who to match up with who!

As for scoring we'll use the Tennis Channel's to make it as simple as possible:
First Round correct picks receive 1 point(s)
Second Round correct picks receive 2 point(s)
Third Round correct picks receive 3 point(s)
Fourth Round correct picks receive 5 point(s)
Quarterfinals correct picks receive 10 point(s)
Semifinals correct picks receive 20 point(s)
Finals correct picks receive 30 point(s)

Finally, the prizes have been generously donated by SBR and again the top 10 will be paid!
1st place - 2500 Betpoints
2nd place - 2000 Betpoints
3rd - 1500
4th - 1000
5th - 750
6th to 10th - 300

Mens should work! On my phone now so can’t check at the moment but let me know if you’re still having problems and will check in the morning. It’s a great site but once in awhile more temperamental than a guy with bloody man flu.

It's a little confusing but if you login in to tournitopia site first. Then go and click the link from the Mens contest thread so it opens in a new tab, you click the one button and enter display name details again.

It might still say soemthing about womens up top, but it will say ATP somewhere there too for the mens.

I see it now but I think it's still messed up. The ATP contest is under Women's Bracket and the WTA contest is under Men's Bracket.

Just go to tennis Channel and sign up for both brackets it is a little confusing but it’s not Shari’s fault.

With the time difference the Tennis Channel may not update their brackets until the morning in the US so don't stress if you want to enter your picks straight away

Well she beat Wozniacki and Venus last week which is awesome but the only real worry at the moment for her is not burning out. If she gets through qualies she should definitely be one to watch!

I remember this happened another time in the past. It wasn’t the person trying to be dodgy and enter twice - or obviously they wouldn’t use the same name haha - but yet another silly glitch over there when someone’s tried to edit their picks. I’m pretty sure I can delete entries once the tourney starts so I’ll get it sorted then!
