#73Day game here without bad weather is good for the Chargers. Possible snow showers (look ahead forecast) favor Brady a lot. It will mentally affect the Chargers if it snows and the crowd will be even more into it (if possible). The night games in Foxboro are much more difficult. Good luck!Comment -

#74I think there are a couple of factors to consider. This is not some kid with zero playoff experience the bolts are facing here. This is Tom Brady with a full compliment of weapons. They’re not gonna have all day to get to him because he gets rid of it so quickly. If they can’t stop Sony, Brady will torch them.
The Patriots Dee, which is always a work in progress that improves as the year goes on, has received a huge boost with the arrival of JC Jackson on the scene. In half a year he has turned into a shut down corner. He visullay got our attention with outstanding coverage that you can’t help but notice . At first it was. “Who’s 37?” Then it was “ man Jackson is all over that guy.” With Jackson and Gilmour covering the 2 top guys, it leaves the McCourty twins and Patrick Chung with coverages they can handle. Bolts will have to be able to move the ball on the ground in order to win.
My first Pats game ever was vs the Chargers in 1970 at Harvard Stadium. I remember Pats linebacker Mike Ballou hitting the Chargers kicker late and knocking him cold. When he came to, he was looking to kill the guy. He was so mad, but Ballou was a big mean dude. Joe Kapp vs John Hadl. It was even weird for an 8 year old football fan to see a QB wearing number 21.Comment -

#76I know but we have to be careful this year.
Pats defense does not have a strong pass rush. They also have small backfield.
Gordon is gone and Gronk has no legs. Edelman has shown aging.
Michel is still a rookie and he was injured.
Brady is not being adequately supplied and the Pats OL is not too good, either.
Belichick is a terrible general manager, I think they can lose this game.
Doesn't mean I will take the Chargers, undecided.. but I cannot take this year's Pats either.
They don't deserve to be backed. Brady does, but the team does not.Comment -

BUT taking my previous statement literally, Charger were 8-0 straight up during regular season (now 9-0 counting playoffs) when flying out of LA, and it was not done the conventional way (not 9-0 on the road).Comment -

#80I don't bet football sides often, but I'm waiting for the public to bet this line down and then jump on the Patriots. For all the talk about the Patriots getting old, Philip Rivers has looked more over-the-hill than any Patriots veteran. I think bettors are "buying high" on the Chargers defense also, as they have looked good lately against some truly terrible offenses in the 2nd half of the season. When they played strong offenses, they let up points. Add in that the Patriots are at home, rested, and have arguably the best coach ever and I think there's value here on the Pats.Comment -

#81Let me pose a question to all of you losers. 2017-18, Philly vs New England. 2016-17, Atlanta vs New England. 2015-16, Denver vs Carolina, 2014-15, New England vs Seattle. 2013-14, Denver vs Seattle. Out of all of those teams (10) who ended up playing in the Superbowl for the past 5 years, how many of them won away playoff games?Comment -

#82I don't buy that shit for one second. The chargers have Traveled to Eastern time zones more than any other team this year and have won all of those games (baltimore, KC, Pitt, Buffalo, Cleveland) They even won at Denver. Chargers, Spread (large) Chargers ML (not as large, but a nice size)
I'd love to see the Chargers take out the Pats in the playoffs if I don't have money riding on it. I really would!!! I just don't think it's gonna happen.Comment -

#83I would keep a close eye on the weather Sunday morning to get a more accurate idea of the game time conditions. If it's going to snow hard up there, it will be a big advantage for NE, they thrive in that shit.Comment -
