New to cryptocurrencies as well. It was my understanding that in order to receive Bitcoin, all you require is a coinbase account. Earlier in this thread, it was mentioned that you require a blockchain account as well. Can someone confirm this please.

Technically, all you need is a Coinbase account since they have a wallet feature included in your account that you can use to receive Bitcoin and then either hold or sell through them.
However, the consensus is that you should have an intermediary wallet like Blockchain to go in-between Coinbase and your sportsbook as well since Coinbase can (and has) closed accounts if they detect the source of the Bitcoin is from gambling. Another benefit of Blockchain vs Coinbase wallet is with Blockchain wallets, you own the keys to that wallet, which means you can port your wallet to other software if Blockchain goes under and you truly hold the Bitcoin, where Coinbase wallets are basically custodial wallets where Coinbase holds the Bitcoin for you, so if they go under, you're SOL. Something to consider, but a very small risk if you're only holding the Bitcoin short term anyway to fund your book or receive a payout. The potential account banning is the biggest concern with people here.
Would Coinbase classify Bitcoin from SBR the same way as 5Dimes or Bookmaker? Don't know (and I'm sure that's been debated on here), so it's up to you and how comfortable you feel having it sent directly to Coinbase.

Sounds like SBR would rather send funds to a blockchain account, guess I better learn about blockchain now, and sign up for an account

don't worry about it, unless you do a ton of transactions coinbase isn't gonna do anything... and worst case scenario they show you the door and then you can use kraken (which is better and cheaper) where you can do a million transactions without being flagged

You can provide any bitcoin payment address you like. We opted to use Blockchain in our bitcoin tutorial because you can set up the account in seconds without any KYC. If you'd prefer to use your exchange account to receive your contest winnings, that's fine.

Received.
Thanks you.
How do I find out what exchange rate I received upon transfer? Appears that the going exchange rate is 37% right now. I received about an extra, 20% in Canadian funds.

Anyone who a bitcoin newb like me and hasn’t done yet I would recommend not using mycelium for wallet. It was kinda a pain and awesome guy on phone from atm place who helped me get it worked out said mycelium was outdated and kinda sucked he would suggest edge or another bitcoin wallet. Just a heads up.

You have to ask someone smarter than me about that bro, I wouldn’t think so!
What wallet did you use? I used mycelium and went to a bitcoin atm, all I had to do was enter my phone number, then it sent code to my phone, enter that code them request a withdrawal. Then a thing pops up on atm you scan from your phone., mine didn’t work and said invalid code so I called the number and this incredible helpful guy had me take a picture of atm scan thing and send to him., he said it was a problem with my wallet so he sent me a passcode much like we sent sbr and I sent the bitcoin to that number which was the atm. Within about 20 minutes I received a transaction code went back to atm, punched in code and got my money !! no card required.
I would assume you can go to send and get code from book and send directly to them in matter of minutes!!

Wow had no clue about this hopefully I don’t have to wait for my cc. It’s bitpay wallet so you just put your number into the atm and sent you a code to request a withdrawal from the atm and just scan your phone to the atm?

On advice of the guy who helped me out with atm withdrawal I just opened a “edge” bitcoin wallet and was super easy to move from the mycelium wallet to the edge wallet!! Took maybe 5 minutes (to create account, transfer money and receive!!) and remember I’m a retard so i know you can handle it bro!

derailer admitted that he was the banned user "buffalo nickle", he also admitted to making picks for iag's account, and for manipulating at least 2 sets of picks near the end of the contest (wouldn't have won running only one account).
so 1st place goes to a banned cheater and 2nd place goes to someone that has never made a single post (almost certainly another ghost account).

3rd place also non posting account. It's okay though... no need to investigate any further since places for 4, 5 and 6 are all legit posters.

7th place is a legit poster as well, although I do not post as much as almost everyone else! This is my 51st post in almost five years. I am a huge anti-social lurker. It is what it is haha. Definitely got to get my post count up so I can hang with the big boys

When I won got the bitcoins from SBR from the parlay contest they were bought for $3400. Now bitcoin is $3900. So if you keep them in longer they could gain value but they can also lose value.

Looks that way. They were at 3900 night before I got then today they were in the 3700s., crazy how that stuff just fluctuates all around be the second. When I sent a little earlier it says I was sending a number and was 3 bucks less by time it sent!! Lol

I got my $1200 worth of bitcoin for a 6th place finish. I did a sample bitcoin run purchasing $50 bitcoin in the SBR Store. Now I just need to figure how to run things in reverse. But I am gonna let this ride a while and maybe learn to trade some, about a third of the bitcoin for ether. I did make a bitcoin deposit into BetOnline.
Something that makes me just as happy is seeing the top 6 in the 2019 List of Big Winners. Seeing JakePeavy with his darn cat avatar for 2018 just made me want a top 6 finish so bad, so I kind of like sat out the last two weeks of the contest to see how things would look after the dust settled.
Thank you for this great contest, SBR Beat The Prick, that I have been playing I think for at least the last five years now. Glad to see you increased the winners from 50 to 100 this year.

What was also surprising was I ended up having only one more win than The Prick, yet still placed 6th overall in the contest.
I think Prick had 56 correct picks for the season and I had like 57 correct picks.

Anyone else wondering why mods & admins refuse to ask the winners for ID?
Am I the only one thinking it or should I just say it?
