I really like this game for a number of reasons. First is I think this is a good spot for the Bears to come out flat here. Look I know they are potentially playing for home field, but hear me out. They are coming off an emotional win against their nemesis GB, and now they have to travel across the country to face the out of division 4-10 49ers. I could see them having some motivational issues. Also, the number is such that the public is almost certainly going to be betting the Bears here. The public is largely scoredboard driven and we all know they LOVE away favorites. I’ve been saying this for weeks now, 49ers severely underrated. To date, they have outgained their opponents in aggregate. Another interesting angle is, Mullens is playing for the opportunity to change his life here. If he finishes strong, I could easily see him getting picked up to be the backup of some team going forward. Backup money and third string money aren’t the same thing. Rolling with the 49ers here.
