Been happening a lot lately, especially with a scared coach only cares that the loss looks a little less bad. You just summed up your career. True competitors don’t do that

Stats I find say they are 29th of 130 but that is splitting hairs. Looking at their game log, the teams they held to low points were beyond terrible. Teams worth anything lit them up. I'll concede Marshall isn't terrible on defense but USF is and that was the point of the quote I was replying to. With the history of both teams, the under was a bad bet in this case.... and lost.

The bear pointed out on their podcast last week that South Florida would be the first team ever to start 7-0 and finish 7-6 if they lost tonight, pretty nuts.

I ended up doing a small ML bet on Marshall. Weeknights are hectic with kids stuff, and after that line dropped back to -3.5, I didn't know if there was some reason other than money on USF, and didn't have time to find out.

Was hardly worth it, but a win is a win. Too much bad stuff going against USF beforehand to take them.
