Reviewing your thread I've found it rare that NHL bettors have been successful paying high ML juice. Like I see NHL favorites over -200 juice, like -225 to -300, yet the absolute best NHL teams win at most, 65% of their games, usually 60%. Thus, often times a lot of +EV value on dogs in NHL it appears. Sounds like you've been doing this in the past successfully though, hope you turn it around, good luck.

Yeah I've been successful in the past, this has just been a really bad year so far. The Pens lose two times in thirteen games and I'm on them both times. Other weird losses. Just a run of very bad luck. Luckily I don't bet huge and I win much more playing cards than I lose capping even on a run like this. Sports betting is more something for me to look at while I'm waiting for good poker hands.

We might have played together sometime then since I read somewhere you're from Philly. Play 2/5 NLHE and the great game of PLO, often times in AC. Sportsbetting is how I give a bit of it back.

Possibly, I was in Philly and played at Sugarhouse a lot, Parx a good bit too. Borgata once in awhile. Usually 1/3 for me, haven't dabbled in PLO live yet, too swingy.

Have you ever been to Rivers NY? They have a $560 Survivor every month that has me wanting to drive up there sometime. Also very excited for Encore Boston, the poker games will be incredible once it opens.

I've heard great things about MGM National Harbor lately, like the stereotypical rich politician's frat boy kid steaming off heaps of money, etc., Lol. That's a room that's at the top of my list to check out. I spent a weekend playing at Maryland Live before MGM opened up and the action was awesome.

The games here at MGM NH are amazing. Just be careful not to overplay yourself. Won 50k in 3 months playing 2/2, 2/5, 5/5 PLO, got cocky, started playing 10/25 because its daily game at MGM, biggest games are here, and lost about half of that profit.

Whereas your average room will have average mix of pros, regs and bad players, I would say MGM has a far more polarizing range. At a given table half are bad players half are very good pros. Isolating the bad players is the best move here.

Yeah man even though I mostly play lower stakes than you I am all about opponent selection, always chasing the fish. It's essential, especially at lower levels since the lower skilled players are often truly recreational. It's why I play all night instead of with the daytime grinders, you get the drunks, the degens, etc. etc.
