Congratulations to the Poker Main Event Winners

Guys we had another great Poker event to close out the 2018 season. The SBR Poker Main Event 2018 was enjoyed by all that participated. The feedback of the Final table was nothing but positive. We of course will take all comments into consideration for future events.
We would like to congratulate our Champion dhristov211 on beating a stacked field of 29 other players. Well done dhristov211!! Our 2nd place finisher also performed at a very high level...silvap battled for his finishing spot among the 29 other hungry players.



dhristov211 is taking home a cool $1,500 for winning the event and silvap won a nice sum of $500 for 2nd place.

Again thank you all for playing...we are already brainstorming for the opening event of 2019. Any suggestions please post them here.

Thanks for a great event, lots of fun and excitement I do have one question, I did not receive Pts for this tourney yet and was just wondering if they were given out yet ? Once again thanks to everyone and congrats to those who qualified, won and those who made this a great bit of fun and entertainment !

I think the general formatting of the qualifying part and the final itself were both great - again, just the two big qualifiers into the final, would have been better if they were deeper stacked like the final itself, but that was the only thing that really seemed wrong to me. In general, I would favor poker contests with a similar formatting in the future!

Only immediate suggestion: gets us the omaha games back please!

For 2019, I'd like to see a monthly competition, with a top 30 tournament for monthly champion played on the first weekend of the next month.

Then late January, have the top 3 finishers in those 12 tourneys play for the SBR Player of the Year.

(or have it start/end in May and have WSOP prizes for June/July)


That first weekend could also have some sort of deep stack high roller event with blinds set to make it last about 4 hours until heads up.

We could have satellites the other 3 weekends of the month for the high roller.



Could still do the multi month promos on top if wanted.

thanks to SBR for a cool promotion, obviously one needs luck to get far into any tournament but feel happy with the second place finish coupled with being on the winning Team World on the World Cup

how about just having a league on an established poker site? that wouldnt be expensive, there's a million private leagues out there

i would love to play in these when i had time, but it's just not plausible with the software

You currently give away 2400 poker points per day to 24 different people.

If you award 240 points per SnG to 3 people (120, 72, 48), 30 players will have points to rollover.

Using the format that WSOP online uses, a nine handed SnG takes ~45 minutes, which is half the time an SBR tourney needs. The time savings would be +EV to many of us.
