The footage of former Chiefs running back Kareem Hunt shoving and kicking a woman was not seen by the Cleveland Police Department until TMZ released the video Friday.
But, the CPD knew the footage existed.
CPD spokesperson Jennifer Ciaccia said in a statement to USA Today the surveillance footage was never viewed because “detectives only follow up on felonies. This is a misdemeanor.”Comment -

And he's still got multiple new venues being built. I cant stress how important that is and it's never a gimmie w government. What that does, besides in rease team revenues and prestige is it gives the NFL control over soccer because they cant play anywhere else.

The head injury lawsuit is by no means gone. He's already paid out and they'll end up paying a lot more. His way to fix it was to take defense out of the game. Refs throw a flag on every other play. If Goodell cared about Player's safety would he be trying to add 2 more games to their bloated schedule?
Why should we celebrate that the Players are getting screwed? Do we really care if Daniel Snyder makes more and Drew Brees makes less?
The kneeling is still an issue. Many long time football fans gave up supporting the NFL over this. Goodell did absolutely nothing.
He got football back to LA? Yeah, great--who wants the Chargers in LA? Why didn't the Chargers go to Vegas and keep the Raiders in Oakland where they have tremendous fans?
Adam Silver of the NBA is pro gambling. Goodell is not. He's done zilch to help with the new sports gambling laws.
Screwing over cities and municipalities is not a virtue. For every new stadium that's built we have to have a Super Bowl venue like Minny or Detroit or New York city. Horrible horrible Super Bowl locales in February.
Goodell is brilliant? Did he think to investigate Kareem Hunt when he had 3 high profile crimes about to be exposed (maybe more). Hiding your head in the sand is not brilliant. The only thing working for Goodell is that he's a sociopath.
Goodell and the NFL have benefitted tremendously by the advent of fantasy football. It damn near doubled their fan base.

As big as the NFL is and the kind of money they bring in, they seem archaic and not proactive in their way of thinking. Even when they are colluding or doing something outside the lines they are not very good at it. There are all kinds of emails and apparently videos that were obtained ..etc... which equals the NFL looked bad and had no defense and releasing that information on a Friday afternoon appeared to be the best time to do it.
