I have no desire to try. Hell, I'm still in bed right now with no idea when I will actually get up.

no way in hell for me I would guess. Use to run the mile in 6mins or a little under in high school, but not a chance under 10 for me as I sit here today.

Did two miles in 10 minutes in the Army, 15 years later and one mile in that time would make me very sweaty, tired, and sore. But no problem for $100. Anything under 8:00 would be questionable

For a hundo? Not breaking a sweat for that. What's more of an achievement, running an 8 min mile, benching 225 and/or squatting 300 10 times?

Squatting 300 10x could be done by a far far smaller % of population
I'm confident I could do that again with 6-12 weeks training

315 is a lot of weight for most people, sure
but it doesn't translate to a level of collegiate sports.
my build suited me very well for squats, deads, and cleans. and was big into it from age 14 through my early 30's
even after 10 years away. I can quickly get back quite a bit of strength with a few weeks in the gym. but I don't really have the desire or motivation to do it anymore especially considering the heightened risks for a 51 year old like me.
much rather run, bike, hike, swim and be couch potato at different intervals

3 plates was the benchmark for all the athletes in d1 sports except football. Those guys were starting with 4 and 5 plates
It must have been fortunate to have a natural build or disposition suites for lower body strength. That is the epicenter and building block to succeed in any sport. The rest of us had to work to get there

I'm in great shape but can't run because of my back. I tried again earlier this year and it was a disaster. I just lift/bike/eliptical.
I def have the cardio vascular for it.
Put a police cruiser behind me and I'll do 7 flat lol
