Now taking some of the talent from other Florida programs.
Instead of eliminating schools, how about we make it even more interesting and change the rules so that colleges are only allowed to recruit within their own state.

They don't need to fold their programs. Make changes like introducing relegation/promotion. If Kansas finishes last in Big 12 then have North Dakota St take their place next year if they win Division IA championship.Comment -

Nothing is going to change until the next TV contract comes up. Then you MAY, I said MAY, have the possibility of the Top 64 teams plus Notre Dame breaking away from the NCAA and forming their own conference. That would amount to a minor league for the NFL. Those schools are going to hit hard this fiscal year because of the virus and they are not going to want to share TV revenues with the crap teams that make up the Group of 5.
Another idea I have read floating around is to make five 16 team conferences, for a total of 80 schools. That would allow schools like UCF, USF, Houston, BYU, San Diego State and other competitive schools in the "Group of 5" to join the big boys and compete for bigger money. Cut the number of bowls by simply eliminating the Bowls that feature Group of 5 teams only, but keep any bowl that has at least one current Power 5 Conference team in it.Comment -
