Good point I agree. Betting points is a way to keep the addiction fed even when you are bust and broke.. Doesn't apply to me but I see and get your point..

He might not have been a pro before to renew with the 3k. I was lucky to go pro almost 8 years ago when all we had to do was deposit $50 to 5dimes. Back in the good old days when you could buy sb cash in the store too.

Thankfully The Red Cross is not one of the 2 charities backed by SBR.
                            Look at administrative, fundraising costs.

10 Charities Overpaying their For-Profit Fundraisers

These 10 charities spend more than 50% of its budget paying for-profit fundraising professionals to solicit your hard-earned money. They are ranked by the percentage of their total functional expenses spent on professional fundraising fees. As a result, very little of the charity's spending is directed towards its programs and services.

10 of the Best Charities Everyone's Heard Of

These 10 charities work throughout the country and the world. They are large, complex organizations with budgets exceeding $100 million, and at least $65 million in net assets. They became household names in part because of their exceptional financial management, no easy feat considering the scope and size of their operations. Charitable givers should feel confident that these national institutions put their donations to good use.

The exceptional charities on this list execute their missions in a fiscally responsible way while adhering to good governance and other best practices that minimize the chance of unethical activities. Each has earned perfect scores for its Financial Health and its Accountability & Transparency. Those two scores then translate into a perfect 100 point overall score. Less than one percent of the thousands of charities rated by Charity Navigator have earned perfect scores.
We applaud these charities for exceeding industry standards and outperforming other organizations performing similar work.

SBR is not actually funding Angelman Syndrome Foundation. Even though that is a great charity.

Foundation for Angelman Syndrome Therapeutics is actually the charity as they are 100% funding toward research. FAST CureAngelman.org

I go pro because just trivia and the contests more then pay back my points plus if I do well, play poker (though not with the new points system, never will, and easily stuck by my guns) etc it's def worth it.

Research is focused specifically on cancers, some acquired and inherited immunodeficiencies, sickle cell disease, infectious diseases and genetic disorders.
