Yeah but why? It's because of brainwashing and guilt laid on them by the Hollywood freak show. That industry shouldn't be influencing a bark park.

Like some others have said, I can see where a state institution might need to cool it with the rebel flag. This stuff with "Ole Miss" though is revisionist, embellished horse dung. This is what the left does. When they want something they think any means and lies told are justified.

They wanted a woman president so they did all they could to make that happen ignoring that she is a corrupt hypocrite. More recently they think it's time for a black James Bond, so they make up narratives that there have been talks and it's almost a done deal with Idris Elba so they created tons of pressure on the Bond industry even though neither parties had ever talked.

The woman credited with the Ole Miss name was not a student then so wasn't in the yearbook. She was born well after the civil war so there is no way she knew how slaves talked. Truth is, they liked the name compared to the other choice which was "cotton boll" or something like that, and there is no evidence it was based upon slave speak. If it did have anything to do with a black phrase, it was a phrase she heard them use when they weren't slaves. Being offended by that is like boycotting cotton because it was a main cash crop on slave plantations hundreds of years ago.
