#176You guys are hilarious. You all think you are geniuses and yet not a single one of you will play me in a game that is pure logic. I don't expect any of you to ever beat me no matter how many times we played... but if even 1 of you could get half of my score in a completed game you would win my respect forever. But you're all too afraid. I'm the only one with anything to lose here and you're still afraid to play me.

#177Reread this post... keep rereading it until it makes sense to you:
Let me try to explain this to you in a way that you MIGHT be able to understand. Let's take the NBA finals... some people like Golden State and some people like Cleveland. If people find out that you don't like Golden State they might jump to the conclusion that you automatically like Cleveland. This is a false assumption. Right now... I can assure you that there are several people on the planet who's favorite 2 teams are Golden State and Cleveland. AND, I can also assure you that there are people on the planet who HATE both Golden State and Cleveland.
I have never once ever said anything in praise of Hillary. How do I know this? Because I don't like her! I despise both Trump and Hillary... and for the most part I despise both parties. It's possible to be critical of one person(or party) while still despising the other person or party. Does this make sense to you? I could explain it to you like you are a 5 year old if that would help.Comment -

#182Let me add my twist; Most cowards love their personal cliques.
Safety in numbers normally has members with smaller gonads.
Get out of your sissy backup cliques and grow up. That is sooooooo boring.Comment -

#186My game is Hexversi. It has the same rules as Othello/Reversi which you might have played as a youth as it's a somewhat common game that they sell in stores. The site is itsyourturn.com my username there is Holden2341. Hexversi is incredibly simple to learn. Even if I don't explain the rules you should be able to understand the rules after a move or 2. If you sign up at itsyourturn.com let me know what your username is and I will invite you to a game. It won't be a live game... you just make a move when it is your turn.

#191No problem. Let me know if you change your mind. Btw, here's what a completed game of Hexversi looks like:
Also, if you click on "First" under past moves in the link above you can see what the board looks like at the start of a game. Then by clicking on "Next" you can see how the game works and how it's played. I think anyone with above average intelligence would be good at Hexversi... especially after they figure out strategy. Btw, what's your game of choice Abe?Comment -

Maybe you can play me the first game as a practice, then count the second game as my real score. I'll get back to you on this.Comment -

For me, it's not the chosen profession itself, it's the self glad-handing. Part of the culture on this beauty site SBR is to give some crap to posters. So he opens himself up to it. Of course this just IMHO, and because you asked why.
In contrast, does anyone know what I do/did for a living? Nope. Maybe some people can guess. Most probably don't care. Profession/job not a relevant topic on this site, as far as I'm concerned. Nor the bragging about anything other than hitting a large wager, or extended winning streak picking games.Comment -

#199it's because the poster has 'bragged' about his status in his profession, and his lifestyle numerous times on this site.

#201Mr. Galt, I've never heard of this Hexversi game until you mentioned it many weeks ago in a previous thread. And even then I didn't bother to look it up. But I'm up for a challenge. I'll take a look at the link of a completed game you posted, and if I can grasp it, will create a username and give it a go.

Hexversi has the exact same rules but the board is shaped like a hexagon and a full board has 90 pieces. Good luck to you. Let me know if you have any questions.

#202Sounds good. Don't worry about losing the first game or any game for that matter. If I win you owe me nothing. I will not even tell anyone that I beat you. That is up to you. If you beat me I will give you 500 betpoints(you can only win the 500 points once, first person to beat me wins). Not only that, if you can achieve AT LEAST half of my score in a COMPLETED game I will give you 100 betpoints(you can only win this once as well). Any game you quit you will win nothing regardless of what the score was when you quit. If I quit a game you will get 500 betpoints. There are a few people on SBR that I have played multiple times. And a couple of those people have achieved at least half of my score in a completed game but nobody(nobody on SBR) has beat me yet. I'm not unbeatable by any means but I consider myself to be very good. Also, you may or may not be familiar with the game pictured below:

My other hobby, and it takes almost all my other free-time, is ducking boring, pressurized responsibilities. Whew...forget that stuff.
When you're retired, this is the way to go until your time runs out. Some people would rather worry themselves to death and choose an early grave.
I definitely do not play that game.Comment -

Ladder record 574-17-1
The Ladder games are rankings... it's more like a MMA/Boxing format. Regular tournament games are just like regular tournaments except you play multiple people at once.Last edited by JohnGalt2341; 06-03-18, 08:50 PM.Comment -

#208suggestion... think long term... sometimes things may not appear as they seem... this game is very abstract... very few players can even tell when they are winning... ask yourself... if you think that you are winning... how can you be sure?Comment -
