That's why he has been exclusively a DH when not pitching, limiting his exposure to injury by not playing the field.

Ankiel never did them both at same time tho, after he went heywire in a playoff start (dude all a sudden couldn't hit broad side of a freaking barn!) he flamed out as pitcher then reinvented himself and came back as a everyday outfielder. Very good athlete.

Yea I don't think he was. I remembered him vaguely after LT brought it up so googled his name and you correct played for Cubs as well.
