Because the west coast teams complained about playing early season games at home (smaller attendance).

it must suck to be down in Florida or Arizona for spring training in nice weather, then have to go up to the midwest or northeast to 40 degree weather and play baseball. Im sure it takes a couple weeks to get use to.

Agreed
The other thing that puzzles me is that these stadium construction budgets can afford a roof, but they don't build one-now that makes no phuckin sense at all

Start first 9 games on the road. Yankees, red Sox etc. Jays have a dome they can host first 9. By mid April weather will clear up.

Baseball doing great. All the issues with the nfl have been a huge boost to MLB. Attendance up across the board. As is tv viewers.
There’s always some issues with these early season games. Part of it. It always works out.

Retractable roofs have been around for a few decades now. MLB should have made it a requirement that all new stadiums should be equipped with them. If they had done this since 2000, we would have retractable roofs in St. Louis, Mets, Yankees, Philadelphia, Detroit, Cincinnati, Washington, Pittsburgh, Atlanta, and Minnesota. They would settle quite a few of the weather delays or postponements.

I recall a few years back MLB had the Marlins in MN in early April, and then the Twins in Mia in August.
Couldn't have switched that??

They’re canceling games because of the cold now. If you a team cancels a game due to the cold they should forfeit the right to host a game in April for 4 years

My kid plays softball since February in the mornings with temperatures in the 30s.
They is no excuse of MLB to not play in these conditions.
