San Diego State +5000 to win West Region

After looking at the bracket I think it’s very likely that a lot of the top seeds advance deep into the tournament. The one region that looks vulnerable to a dark horse team making a run is the West. Xavier is good but a very weak 1 seed. They’re probably better suited as a 2 or 3. North Carolina is dangerous but not as good as they were the last two years. They can be knocked off. Michigan is a Final Four candidate but I can definitely see the Aztecs beating them and if they do, they have a really good chance to win the region.

This is worth taking a shot on. San Diego State finished the season on a tear and they have talent at pretty much every position. They’re long and athletic and led by two seniors in Kell and Pope. Don’t be surprised to see the Aztecs pull it off.

Was talking to some SDSU alums yesterday, and they said this team is better than the Kawhi team. Not in talent, but as a put together team.

Let's hope so, because SDSU has been awful in tourneys. That was under Fisher though, who isn't a good postseason coach.

And the Mountain West is a complete auto-fade in any tourney.

All that said, I do think they're as good of a darkhorse as any though. Worth the flyer IMO.
