Here is what I read in a gambling book: if you can hit 53% or better you can beat the house. So now you will win whether you choose parlays or straight single bets. For some gamblers parlays can be helpful for budgeting, especially if you are inconsistent. You can bet a few 4 or 5 team parlays on a Saturday and win hundred of dollars on a $10 parlay if you hit, instead of risking say $100 each time you make a solitary point spread bet.

me personally, I can't hit 53 fukkin percent. I've documented so far in MLB, NFL, and NHL. Hit around 45 to 50 percent. But on single bets I vary the unit size to scratch out a profit. It's not chasing units after a loss, either...Usually I go the other way and bet less after a loss...or press more units after a win or when I'm running good.

So I do appreciate your point and I'm experimenting with these parlays ...although probably impossible a sub-50-percent guy to make it work.

I'm here to improve my handicapping and if I can pick any better going forward, we may just see some results.

This parlay thread anyone welcome to join in. Others have shared some already but no success.

the ONLY time you should ever parlay when you are up and playing with the book money, too many people parlay when they are on a losing thing trying to get back lost money , in the long run this never work, i try to tell people dont parlay unless you are up..........
