I don't get how it was even a debate when you had a solid arm like wood available.

Pitchers on short rest historically are terrible...and its usually only elite guys they try it with.

I said before game he was doing right thing. Doyers been better off losing today than using kershaw. Using him tonight would have pretty much guaranteed Stros won game 5 then prob 6 imo. I agree but as great as Kershaw is he's given up a bunch of long balls this post season, we know what the Astros can do! Keuchel can go pitch for pitch with him.

Yeah it does suck but I guess I get to laugh at Verlander or Kershaw.

True it no guarantee. I just thought he did absolutely best thing even if they got beat today, he much better off w Kershaw on full rest. If he threw him out there today and they lost series was over, no way did he want to put whole series on Clayton on short rest!!

If they did, that is one terrible beat. 1-1 going into the 9th and it ends up over 7.5. Chances of that happening less than .002 %.

Heck of a game for the most part, wish those managers didn't pull their starters they were both on. Did hear Wood was good for 85 so maybe he would of been pulled anyway.

Just way game played these days. If I was Roberts I'd always have quick trigger w his pen. On other side I think Stros manager has pulled guys too early several times these playoffs, damn near cost him yanks series pulling McCullers in a panic move after all he did was give up a solo bomb to make a 4-1 game, to judge no less! Of course another game Giles blew, lol..

Absolutely thought Wood was the right call the Dodgers had the pitching advantage without using him up. I bet on the Stros for some reason though! Oh well was worth the ticket watching that, it was fun. Giles you fukk!

Really want Kershaw to win a ring even though I don't like the Dodgers.
