A black president was elected so there weren't any more concrete "injustices" or "barriers" for the left to point at, so they fabricated them (police brutality epidemic) or revisited and revisioned history (slavery).

The whole thing is preposterous considering freed blacks, who used to be slaves, owned slaves themselves at a much higher percentage than whites. Kind of makes that whole white/evil black/victim narrative go straight out the window. There is a much better chance that a black person today is an ancestor of a freed black who owned black slaves than a white person today is a descendant of a white person who owned slaves. This is the left though, and no amount of logic, proof, or facts makes a difference to them.
