It's ok Sammy it keeps the dream alive. Just because I know I'm down lifetime doesn't mean everyone else is....but honesty in gamblers is hard to come by, to much ego when secretly most are getting there ass kicked

I dunno buck I get my a$$ handed to me all the time. U could give me a winner and I'd still find a way to lose. If someone is constantly winning they wouldn't be on this forum at all

Being responsible but aware is the key....gold is sharked up he once had to go rogue and escape Vegas in the middle of the night over a verbal bet on a hockey match with a local but your probably to new to remember that

Absolutely
OTOH... good to live in reality tho -- many craps players 'believe' betting a second even worse vig wager than their passline bet helps them overall. Same can apply to sports
as long we are betting with 8-10c vig (or worse) on each wager we cannot win , be up , long-term

Ever get that feeling Sammy it happens maybe once a month we're you absolutely lock in on a bet and it absolutely wins now with that said is the problem bankroll management or the urge to resist betting all the time?

I'd say about 1 in every 2000 players that actually try to make it as a pro or high level amateur succeed long term. My definition of success would be lifetime net winnngs of at least $1 MILLION and not less than $100K annual net profit in at least 8 of the last 10 years.

I'd say it's the urge to resist betting all the time. I find that everytime I take a break I hit a ton as soon as I start again and then I slowly start to become consumed by the action until I'm taking a break again

So many times after a few big weeks I thought I figured it all out and was gonna live the lifestyle of a professional gambler with all the good things that come with it
I would have that smirk on my face that I'm smarter than the box but we all know what happens

Two incontrovertible truths:
1) it takes much longer to build a bankroll than to lose it;
2) cold streaks are usually fueled by bad beats that just keep getting more impossible as you continue to chase.
