You're a smart lad I see with a colorful vocabulary.. God bless you too ...

So forget about the other 2 people that died and it's all about Jose Fernandez.. You wouldn't be saying this if your own brother was one of the friends that slammed into the rocks and died.. You'd be like what happen, how did my brother die, and you would care more about your brother dying then Jose Fernandez.

If Jose was drunk and driving the boat, talked your brother on board you'd be singing a different tune.. I don't forgive wreckless behavior that results in multiple deaths as easy as you guys..

Maybe Jose Fernandez isn't to blame for all 3 deaths, maybe it was just a tragic accident.. If so I'll be the first to apologize and say I was wrong.. We'll see though??? I'm usually right about these things..

Friend texted worries about boating with Marlins' Jose Fernandez

Miami Marlins pitcher Jose Fernandez was a patron at a Miami River bar and restaurant the same night he and two friends were killed in a boat crash, a spokeswoman for the establishment confirmed Tuesday. A friend of one of the victims said he warned him against the post-midnight trip.

American Social Bar & Kitchen spokeswoman Dana Rhoden said in an email that Fernandez was there before the accident. The statement did not say whether Fernandez had been drinking or what time he left.

The bar is along the Miami River in the city's downtown section and allows boats to dock alongside.

A friend of Rivero's, Will Bernal, said they texted each other shortly after midnight, before the trio pushed off. Bernal posted the messages on social media.

"Yo please be careful bro," Bernal texted at 12:07 a.m.

        "I will bro," Rivero said.

"Try to keep him close to shore if you go out," Bernal wrote back.

"Trust me," Rivero wrote, "it's not my time yet."

Bernal then asked Rivero to turn on his "find iPhone" application, and to "keep Jose cool."

Yes my vocabulary is very limited beyond repair. May they all rest & peace as we gather all the evidence to conclude this tragedy. The Blacks had a f u c k i n g hunch too for that 1/3 tard of a ***** & proceeded to destroy their own city lol, you didn't do anything of the sort, but your words are hurtful to my guy. I'm a "Miami-an" this hits close to home as you can imagine.

You see things your way, I see them different.. Still need to know all the final facts though.. Perhaps I am jumping the gun... Still, remember 2 other people died and not just Jose Fer...
Jibbby - If Fernandez was driving the boat and was drunk out of his mind, it still would not EVER be called MURDER. Murder by definition is the unlawful premeditated killing of one human being by another. There is no way you would ever be able to prove that he premeditated killing the 2 other guys by killing himself too. Sorry, you are incorrect.

Now, could he have been irresponsible? At fault? We do not know that yet but he could very well be. You still will not ever be able to prove intent here. In order to prove intent, you would have to prove he wanted to commit suicide too.

This was an accident, plain and simple. It's sad for all involved because Fernandez wasn't making big money, so he probably wasn't insured at a high rate. Who knows how his 2 buddies were financially as well. Their families could probably sue in civil court but unless more details come out, it would be hard to prove. If you get in my car and I am drunk as a skunk. You basically bear responsibility as well unless it's proven that you didn't know.

^^ True Mac, how about Vehicular Manslaughter then? Or just simple old Manslaughter?.. Both can carry lengthy jail terms for the living..

Was watching the morning news just now on this and they said Jose was trying desperately to get several teammates to come out on the boat with him first and they all said no.. Then Jose called his 2 friends and they said yes.

Reports say he Jose was troubled by his pregnant girl friend as they were fighting just prior too...

Facts are starting to come out.. It appears this was all Fernandez idea and ironically there was text talk about possible death prior with the friend.. That's a bizarre subliminal premonition.

Something seems very fishy to me as well. His friend telling them to keep the iPhone on and "keep Jose cool". Sounds like he might have gotten in a fight with his girlfriend and wanted to go on the boat to release some steam.

I'm sorry, but the players hanging out with the number 16 on the mound after the game is the phoniest thing I ever saw. They knew they were on TV and played it up.

Don't know much about this Jose Fernandez... but it sounds like the dude had this relentless amount of hyper energy. Seems like he was always playing with fire? Some people can't control it. It caught up to him. No need to be out on the water that late. Who are you there to impress?
