#80A couple years ago at the Pittsburgh zoo, some idiot parent dropped their kid into an area where wild dogs tore the kid apart.

#84Gorillas are vegans. Why would a gorilla kill a human? They are very intelligent animals. A child is not like a coconut or a pineapple. It has a heartbeat. Gorillas know.Comment -

Jambo shot to international news stardom overnight on August 31, 1986, when five year old Levan Merritt fell into the gorilla enclosure and lost consciousness. Jambo stood guard over the boy when he was unconscious, placing himself between the boy and other gorillas in what ethologists analyze as a protective gesture. He later stroked the unconscious boy. When the boy regained consciousness and started to cry,

#96Damn gorilla was an endangered species. The stupid kid will most likely grow up to be useless like 99% of the other 7 billion idiots roaming the planet. Especially if he's dumb enough to enter a gorilla cage. The whole situation is f'd up though. I can see everyone's points. How is it even possible for a kid to get into the animal area? What was the dumb mom doing instead of watching her kid?
It seems pretty hypocritical on the part of the zoo to advocate for saving endangered species and breeding them and then to blatantly kill one on their own property. They pretty much just lost all credibility. It won't happen cause our society is soft but I'd like to see the mom get charged with endangering a child or something like that since the whole incident is her fault. If you can't take care of your kids then either don't have any or stay in your damn house. It's that simple. Maybe they need to change the policy at zoos, no kids under 12 allowed on property with or without parent and anyone entering the animal area without approval change the laws so it's a felony.Comment -

#104God saved the child.
Michelle Gregg defended herself in a now-deleted Facebook post, writing: "God protected my child until the authorities were able to get to him. My son is safe and was able to walk away with a concussion and a few scrapes... no broken bones or internal injuries."
Gregg continued, "As a society we are quick to judge how a parent could take their eyes off of their child and if anyone knows me I keep a tight watch on my kids. Accidents happen..."
