All the hugs between Bryant and Byron during the last game.
Then the Lakers fire him.

Not Scott's fault this Laker team underperformed, he had to play a cripple for the entire season because it was his farewell tour
Who's the leading candidate for the job? Mark Jackson? David Blatt?

I agree that the Lakers were going to be terrible no matter who was the coach this season, but Byron Scott was pretty awful in his own right. This was a clear rebuilding season and he should've been playing the kids way more than he did.
No idea who will replace him, I know they were interested in Scott Brooks but that's no longer a possibility.

He couldn't play the kids cause they were going to win more that way.
Giant I'm so embarrassed to be a lakers fan.

I'm not sure I believe that. It's inexcusable they didn't spend more time developing the young talent.
Who would you like to see as coach, Lakerboy?
I'll say this, if they go after Kevin Ollie, that means they think they have a shot at Kevin Durant. Apparently they are pretty close.

Everywhere I read people want Luke Walton. I'm not sure I understand why.
I wonder if the Lakers are going to get in a bidding war with the New York Knicks.

I think Becky Hammon would make an intriguing choice.
Imagine the storylines if she became pregnant....

Damn, BScott got a bad deal with a sucky Cleveland Cavs team, then a horrible team in LA. Mike Brown got bad deals in both Cleveland and LA too.

couldn't care less about the coach for now.
i want Jim Buss fired and wouldn't be upset if Mitch gets fired too, he's gotten stale and the game has passed him by.

You don't follow basketball if you think Scott shouldn't have been fired.
Bottom 5 in defensive efficiency the past five years. Didn't think taking threes was important last year (that was hilarious). Bad in every way.
Lakers will completely F up the hire for his replacement. They already missed out on Thibs. So many laughably bad choices out there, and Lakers will hire one of them. Shame too, they have talent.

I hope they are either going to entice a big name FA by letting them choose the coach, or they already have someone waiting in the wings. Interviewing and making a decision like this is a fukkin 9-5 isn't going to cut it.

i dont like scott - he enjoys playing the authoritarian a bit too much, like some arsehole cop that just got his badge - but to blame him for the lakers' record is plain stupid.

David Blatt should be at the top of everyone's list because he ticks all the boxes. First & foremost he is a legit coach unlike some of these career assistants/ former players -it's not everything but it is a big advantage to have 20+ years of on the job experience.
