Seems like a case of putting all their eggs in one basket (or stadium).. One of them will move within 10 yearsComment -

#43not yet they aren't, at least not until the Raiders can get a stadium done in Oakland.
decent chance the Raiders will eventually move to San Diego.
A's are locked in with the Oak Coliseum thru 2018, so nothing's happening at that site any sooner than that. and the city of Oakland hasn't proposed anything remotely close to a viable stadium option in a very long time.
and if the Chargers decide to stay in San Diego, Raiders will move in with the Rams.Comment -

Rams drafted the same position over and over again, and now they have a team that can't move the ball. That's not an overnight fix.Comment -

#46I do wanna say I feel bad for those fans in StL. I know on this board at least the StL guys are sharp and professional in my dealings, sorry you guys lost the team. I'm sure the Sonic fans still root in OKC and who knows maybe a franchise in the future.
I don't think LA even wants an NFL team let alone two right now but IF they can make it a winner it will be worth it.Comment -

Please, someone in the SBR family back me up on those carriage races. Man, those were amazing nights.
Im rambling, whisky does that to me. Oh yeah, I might make it to a Rams game one of these days. They need a QB before I give them my mediocrely made money.Comment -

#52As someone who was born at raised in St Louis, and still lives here there is a lot of anger today. Stan Kroenke was named after Stan Musial, he's a MO native. 2 teams ripped apart from this city in 25 years, and we were willing to build them another stadium! Just a bunch of bullshit. I'm converting to a Patriots fan.Comment -

#53So now Santa Anita is the only option in the LA area? Does anyone remember those horse and carriage races at night? Man, just thinking about that brings back great memories of my pops man. He use to give me a $20 bill to either gamble with, or piss away on arcades and junk food. Oh, to be a kid again. He would buy my ticket of course, and the choice was all mine which made me feel like a little bad ass mother rooster_eater.

#55I could honestly see the Raiders moving in with the Rams in the future and the Chargers getting uprooted, maybe to St. Louis who knows. Jacksonville needs to relocate too but weren't they talking about making them the permanent London franchise or was that all just a rumor? St. Louis is ****** if they don't get the Chargers or Jaguars in the next couple of years. They'll be without an NFL franchise for a long time.Comment -

#56A few things from the inside. First, everyone acts like this is the first time St. Louis has lost a pro team. it is not. The Cardinals left St. Louis after 27 years. The St. Louis Brown's Baseball team moved to Baltimore after 50 years in St. Louis. The St. Louis Hawks NBA team moved to Atlanta. St. Louis has lost a ton of teams.
Rumor control has it that the Raiders Owner Mark Davis purchased property just outside of San Antonio Texas. Stand by...Comment -

#61St Louis fans see to have forgotten that they sold their soul to get the team in the first place.
More than two decades after they left town, the Rams will return to Los Angeles for the 2016 season.
Not to pile on, but seriously the city didn't do shit to keep the team until it was too late. When you heard Kroenke was buying the land in Inglewood, what did you think he was going to do with it, build a Walmart? That dome has been a piece of shit for years now and the horrific attendance records were the writing on the wall. The city chose to ignore the obvious.Comment -

and the Jaguars would never move to St. Louis
it will take a major demographic shift for St. Louis to ever get an NFL franchise againComment -

True, it took them a little bit to get a plan in place, but they had a plan in place! San Diego and Oakland don't have shit in place. It just is a dangerous precedent that you have all these rules in place to let the city keep a franchise and when they abide by them it doesn't really matter. Oh well, in my opinion when cities give these owners money for stadium it's a waste anyway, they should buck up.Comment -

#66They run thoroughbred races at Los Alamitos now for some small meets- they upgraded the track and lengthened it. No one goes. Other than that, it's Santa Anita and Del Mar for TB racing in So Cal. They still run the quarter horses at Los Al. No harness racing around here anymore, but I remember my dad taking me to that when I was young. Good times.Comment -
