Really sad. I wish they would just let him in the HALL.... but MLB is making a point... Do not gamble on games or else.

As a commentator he is a fukking looney tune. Says the most bizarre sh#@. He tries to crack jokes... but he's annoying.

                I say keep him out.

                Why?

                Because it's worked.
We haven't had a gambling scandal in baseball since Pete Rose- so that means it has worked.

                He's a blockhead, anyways.

Wasn't even a "scandal" when he was caught betting.
Never had proof of one bet being made on a game he was involved in.
There was no "scandal". Bud Selig is a homo and held a grudge. I guarantee you he said one thing to the new guy and it was "don't let pete back in".
Guy was a gambler, big fukkin deal. He wasn't a cheat.
You had over 10,000 players in this league (minors and pros combined) who did steroids, THAT WAS A SCANDAL.

If they let him in they will open a door going forward that if anyone else does something similar then they will be forced to let them in too. Next thing you know the hall is filled with crackheads, broke dikk fukks, and other degens. Kinda like here.

He has far and away paid for his sin.
Point has been made. Don`t gamble.

Of course , it was Gretsky`s wife who laid in 7 figures without Wayne knowing.
Yeah, different situation, but murderers are walking the streets serving less time the ROSE.

It will be the club no one cares to be a member of because of the lack of talent associated with the Hall

I also heard he was betting on his own games. But that all the bets were on his team to win.

Not to mention , he still does, legally I guess in "Nevada". LOL But all that BS aside, the guy was, is and always will be , arrogant, ignorant, stubborn and abrasive. I never liked his personality when he played , and I don't like him now. And I "bet" forgive the term, a lot of older players from his era, feel the same way, F..... him.

Yes, he did deserve an extremely harsh punishment for what he did. In the same breath, I think that punishment has been served. i think everything that he contributed to the game over a quarter of a century needs to come into play here. The man is your all time hits leader. He played the game with more passion than any one in his era. It's a shame that he didn't just fess up to this, and act humble when it first came out. He'd be in Cooperstown right now.
