#37You are one clueless buck lol
no it wasn't. Ball was going to take another bounce in-bounds and just spent most of its energy on the bounce that sent it to what was its highest peak then was going to land soft without as much momentum. It could have bounced anyway at that point but we will never know.
lol back judge just digging a ho

#39One of a handful of stupid, needless penalties that should be abolished. Who the fuk cares if a player bats the ball out of bounds? Punters do it all the time on bad snaps. Fumbling team shouldn't be rewarded, just as defensive team shouldn't be penalized. Missed call by the rules, right outcome by common sense. Condolences if you lost a bet.Comment -

#42He didn't bat the ball. His arm involuntarily moved in the direction the ball was bouncing and accidentally hit the ball out of bounds.Comment -

#46There are so many batted balls in the game. Defensive backs bat the ball out of bounds - kickers - qb's on fumbled snaps - onside kicks - not to mention fumbles where the backs bat it out of bounds on purpose. Just doesn't make sense that it is against the rules to bat the ball in this instance???Comment -

#47Are people really this dumb? Like Buckydumbfukk above?
If this play happened at 50yd line, it would be lions ball.
But in the endzone, it's illegal. If KJ Daniels doesn't bat it out, he may have bobbled or fumbled it back to the lions who could recover for a TD. Straight from the horses mouth, Cuz that was his exact explanation in his interview.Comment -

#48It is an ambiguous rule - there are a lot of instances where it is ok to bat the ball out of bounds. Now we have cave men that have to remember this when the games is on the line. In this one instance out of a 100 it is not OK to bat the ball out of the back of the endzone by the defense.
It is the biggest penalty in football for the offense to fumble through the endzone at the one yard line - lose possession. BTW, DOM - fyck you and and the horse you rode in on!Comment -

He gained no advantage in batting the ball out as there was none to gain, because there was no DET player in the vicinity AND the ball was already going out and could not have been brought back in by anyone except KJ Wright. The ref at the flag and the correct outcome occurred despite the hemming and hawing of those wanting a flag for a really stupid rule.Comment -

#52Why have a rule if you're not gonna follow it? Refs should have known that's a penalty and if they didn't someone from the NFL should of stepped in and let them know. NFL has many dumbass rules and this is one of them.Comment
