    Cappertek and others
    Hello,

I recently tried CAPPERTEK.com,they are rating handicapping services, but it looks very suspicious.
Any experience if those should be trusted?

Not sure about them. I can tell you pickmonitor.com is legit and worth checking out.

Out of curiousity, what do you expect to learn by a handicapper rating service, even assuming it is 100% on the level. Some of the cappers are bound to get lucky, how do you tell the lucky ones from the good ones?

I would trust those maintaining 60% win rate with 2.0 odds after 5000 bets.

If that site has someone on there with a 60% win rate after 5000 bets I promise they are cooking the books. Pro's hitting 56% maybe 57% at 1.9 odds do everything in their power to obfuscate their bets so that others can't reverse engineer their methods. And you think some dude hitting 60% long term is going to sell you picks?

This is more than 15 standard deviations away of the expected mean so you will not find it. Way before the guy reaches 15 standard deviations everyone will bet the shit out of his picks and the market will catch on.

I just expect what they say they do Verify the cappers, long term, give some rating based on performance and stability etc...
              Is this not normal??

I don't know if it's normal. I know that it's not useful from a betting perspective.

I consider myself to be relatively smart but I had to look "obfuscate" up.

                  Well played, sir.

Ok I agree, but if they are scam, that means that all the services there are also scam, right?
