Thanks again SBR was fun again... (although it wasn't as fun yesterday as CL wasn't at my table and I didn't get a shot at sucking out for a mod bounty again) Guess I can't complain too much too...

Connection was downed, missed the hold thing. Still finished 64th lol, after going top 10 the last outing. Looking forward to the next one.

I told you guys yesterday you have to watch out for him playing those type of games on people... The man holds a hard grudge...
Who got the bounties btw?

Jeremy eliminated me, unsure of who bounced VegasDave. Will find out tomorrow and get the winners set up.
By the way, amazing run finishing 1st and then 2nd in two consecutive tourneys.

Unreal, some nitwit who registered yesterday to play the fukkin tourney won
SBR next time make a 250 post minimum and you had to already have an account on the site...i'd rather play with guys at the table I knew from the forum not freeroll hunters who see "SBR March Madness Freeroll" on Bodog and google and sign up to get the password and never show their face again.

It's a good point, I think anytime prizes are what they are now though that even a reasonable post count limit wouldn't ensure it's only SBR forum "regulars" that play, but definitely do plan on implementing a post restriction going forward.

Thats why you limit it to regulars who already have an account when the contest is created. The problem here is Bodog players who check the freeroll list, google SBR, sign up, get password, take shots, and never show their face again.

Let's make the players have an updated spreadsheet 100 play minimum.
JK I am fine with it.

Hey I agree with you all. However, you have to see it this way as well. I am sure SBR forum wants to attract more members. If you only limit promotions to regular members, how will SBR gain new membership? A fair post limit would work out fine for both new and old members. This "nitwit" does not plan on disappearing if that makes you guys feel any better. ;-)

No SBR wants posters to sign up with Bodog through SBR affiliate links so they get a cut of their losses.

I listen to a podcast that has a weekly freeroll that used to have like 300-400 people playing in it every week... So then the password started getting posted to message boards that specialize in distributing freeroll passwords (yes there are boards that do this...) and now there are like 4000ish people playing it and every other week they announce how someone from Russia or Siberia wins this thing (alot of English language poker podcast fans over there I guess...)

I think a minimum would help but I do see the benefit for SBR and Bodog on the flip side, they obviously want more people which obviously equals more revenue. I threw that idea out last night but now understand where everyones coming from. Maybe a waiting period for sign up date at SBR relative to the date of the tournament? So this eliminates contest whores who wont sign up at Bodog anyways and dont do anything for SBR? Or I still think 100 minimum post count will help, at least these pricks have to WORK for something free...

The hard part about that is I play at bodog and have been playing there for about 5 years now ....I came across your site for sportsbook and a few days later i saw the post for the freeroll tourney thru SBR ...so if you did the 100 posts there no way I could do 100 posts in 2 days......
